Set up your Shadow with your smart phone:

1. How do I know if Shadow is compatible with my smart phone?

Android phones running 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and up are compatible.

2.  Where do I get the Shadow Safe App

The Shadow Safe App is available for Apple and Android to download from the App store.

3.  How do I set up my panic button with my smart phone

The set up of your panic button is as easy as following the steps in the set up wizard.  After you’ve downloaded the Shadow Safe app, tap on JOIN SHADOW and follow the step by step guide.

Also follow the instruction guide that comes with the Shadow packaging

Replace the Shadow battery:

1.  How do I replace my battery?
We suggets that you read these instructions carefully and also watch the video.
Remove the battery cap on the back of the Shadow panic button.
Remove the old battery.
Take the new CR2032 battery and place it into the cap like this:

Take the cap with the battery and insert it back into the panic button.  See on the video how you insert the cap into the cavity on the back of the button.

2.  How often do I need to change the battery?
Your Shadow Safe App will monitor the battery level and display the battery percentage on the home screen of the app. You will be alerted if you need to change the battery.
You can purchase the CR2032 battery at any convenience store.

3.  How will I know if my battery life is running low?
Your Shadow Safe App will alert you with regular notifications and you can see the battery percentage on the home screen of your app.

Test your Shadow:

1.  How can I make sure that my Shadow panic button is working?
You can test your Shadow from the HOME screen of your app. Simply press the TEST button and follow the easy instruction. You will be reminded once a month to test your Shadow.

2.  How do I test my Shadow panic button?
Go to your HOME screen and press TEST. This function will take you through the process to test the button. After the test is completed successfully ,you will get a pop up message on the App where after your Shadow is in live mode again. Live mode, means that when you press the button , your contacts will receive a sms alerting them that you are in an emergency.

Set up a Business contact:

1. How do I set up a business contact on my Shadow App?

Certain pre-approved organisations and businesses will have a QR code to set them up as an additional contact on your emergency contacts list.  A list of these corporates will be published soon.

Is Shadow available in other countries?
